Can't crit Microsoft?

I wanted to run this critical discussion mediator (in the green box, above and below) on Microsoft's "Palladium FAQ" but I get an uninformative error message instead.

I solved this by making a local copy.

Attempting to debug

I have run a local copy of the CritLink mediator 0.9.2 release, and this works on Microsoft's site. This means I cannot debug the problem from here.

I suspect the problem goes away because of the NTL translucent proxy which exists between my machine and Microsoft.

Running a separate CritLink server is possible, but it means fragmenting the system and losing the use of the database which crit.org has compiled. Also, I for one do not have the bandwidth to support such a system.
