I found this an odd question. Less odd than "where is Google's search engine?", perhaps. Google is spread across many computers round the world. The way your computer finds it (mostly done behind you back) is spread across more computers in other places.
"t8o" is a little more humble. Currently the web server for this site is a computer in my house. It could just as easily be in Alex's house, if he was willing to connect it. Better still, it could be in both at once, then it would be faster and more reliable.
The neatest feature of this is that when you send me an email it is delivered directly to my desktop just as quickly as the machines in between care to move it.
